Books are an essential part of our children’s education. Teachers for every age from infants in daycare, to preschoolers, public schools, private schools, and more need books to support their lessons plans, expose our children to new characters, ideas, and interests. Many daycares, preschools, and grade schools have limited funding to supply classrooms with high quality, new books on a regular basis. What is a Bookfair?
An Usborne Books & More Bookfair is a special event held at your daycare, preschool or grade school. It can occur during school hours, pick up times, or a special event like parent-teacher conferences or literacy night. We can work together to schedule a time for your book fair that will have the best exposure to all students and parents.
What Does the Daycare or School Do?
The daycare or school is responsible for promoting the event to parents and families. We will work together to make sure you have an adequate number of posters to hang up, create a flyer to send home to families, and discuss ways to encourage families to shop. The classroom teachers will be responsible for creating short wishlists prior to the start of the book fair to make available for student donations. Depending on the size of the event, volunteers may be required to assist with the book fair.
What Services Do I Provide to You?
I will be the single point of contact to coordinate all aspects of the event. Posters will be provided to hang throughout your school or daycare. Flyers for you to send home with students will be created and emailed to you in advance. If your school is on social media or has a website, I can create graphics for you to use to promote the book fair. Books are ordered in advance to bring to the book fair that match the age group of your program, as well as other age groups. I will arrive prior to the start of the book fair to set-up the books for display, and will staff the book fair to take payments. Once the book fair has ended, I can assist you with selecting your free books for your classrooms.
What Rewards Does Your Daycare or School Receive?
Having a book fair can be an extremely profitable event. Once your book fair has reached $250 in sales, you will earn 50% of the sales in free books! You will pick from any books in stock, there are no limits! Does your school already have a good supply of books? We also do cash back options of 10-25% depending on the overall sales from the book fair.
